Witches' Tea Party

When I saw these invitations on Living Locurto, I was dying for an excuse to do a Witches' Tea Party. Thank goodness one of my friends was looking for someone to watch her kids!! I thought it would be a fun way to have a little bitty Halloween party, something I've loved to host since I was a little girl. I printed out the invitations, rolled them up, tied them with a little string, and delivered them to their mailboxes.

When the kids arrived, we read a short Halloween book from the library and quickly got to decorating the kids' witch hats. I found the hats, the foam stickers, and the cookies at the dollar store. Since it was a kid party, I made Russian Tea, which is Tang and Instant Tea simmered with whole cloves and cinnamon sticks. I spent about $15 in total on all the supplies. Not bad for a whole lot of fun! Even Lucy Wiener Witch enjoyed herself!

What a Whiner-Wiener!

Henry Wiener was pissing and moaning about not getting equal face time on the blog. So I've decided to grant his wish and do an entire post about Henry Whiner Wiener.

Truth be told, he whines a LOT.

I want to go outside so I can take forever to do my "bidness"! *whine*
I want into the kitchen so I can eat all the good stuff midget drops on the floor! *whine*
I want some ear scratching and belly rubbing! *whine*
I want Lucy Wiener to stop humping me! *whine*

In fact, he whined all day Saturday up on the deck while we were working so hard in the garden. I swear he was pouting like he was stuck in jail or something!

Silly Wiener

The Hubby took Henry Wiener with him this week, so it was just us girls. I had fabulous girlie plans, including mani/pedi's planned for all three of us, but both Midget and Lucy Wiener screamed the second I touched their little piggies. Oh well. At least Midget and I read a Harlequin romance novel and Lucy helped me finish a bottle of wine. *hic*

Speaking of the little stinkerbutt, Lucy Wiener is notorious for finding and laying in any little slice of sunshine. She moves throughout the house during the day, searching for a place to bask in the warm sunlight. She found a new place to lay today--the changing table--and I still haven't figured out how in the heck she managed to get up there! Maybe Go-Go-Gadget-Wiener-Legs??

I'm Not Dead...

The hubster has been home for nearly two weeks now, so I'm attending to his every need (cooking, cleaning, and *ahem* everything else).

Speaking of cooking, have I mentioned that I am TWENTY-SEVEN pounds skinnier than when I started Weight Watchers four short months ago?? I am so sexy, I have to stop myself from making out with the mirror!! Bwa-ha-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I still have more to go, but I am so happy with my progress!

I've also been busily crafting birthday presents for my niece and a friend's little boy. I can't wait to show you pictures! But, it will have to wait because I know my sis-in-law reads this blog and I don't want to ruin the surprise!

We've decided to grow a garden this year, so we've been working on designing the raised beds and containers. We ordered our seeds and plants and I can't wait to get them!! I just hope I don't kill nearly $100 worth of agriculture!

I've also been learning how to use my new camera, so you can look forward to many fantastic pictures!

For now--how about some Henry Wiener eye candy! Look at this gorgeous SOOC (straight out of camera--no editing) shot from my new camera!!

Henry Wiener

After three weeks of viewing all the beautiful photos at

I have come to the realization that I am a sucky photographer. But, no matter! I will let it serve as inspiration for my skills I have yet to learn! I like to teach myself things, so someday, I may be half as good as one of the top ten finishers. Maybe...

So even though my photography skills are lacking, I just can't let this contest go!!! It's all about pets, and you KNOW how much I *heart* my Wieners! My father-in-law says Henry Wiener has very "intoxicating" eyes. I think his eyes have more soul than B.B. King...

Stupid Piggy Lucy Wiener

Have you entered the GIVEAWAY???

Those of you who follow me on Twitter saw an interesting tweet yesterday about my Lucy Wiener.

Here's the scoop for the rest of you. At lunch yesterday, I gave the midget the drummie part of a chicken wing to chew on. She thoroughly enjoyed waving the wing around and even ate a few bites off of it, then continued flailing her arms about. She did one particularly graceful move, which reminded me of the ribbon dancers in the rythmic gymnastics portion of the olympics, and the chicken wing went flying across the kitchen and hit the floor.

Before I could even get the word "NOOOO" past the little chucky in the back of my throat, Stupid Piggy Lucy Wiener had bolted across the room and gotten to the chicken wing. I'm pretty sure I heard a sonic boom as she surpassed the speed of sound...

I jumped up and ran over toward her. She ran under the kitchen table and when I bent down to grab her, she GULPED. There was no chicken bone. The little oinker swallowed it whole!!

Against the hubby's wishes, I called the vet. I wanted to make sure it was okay to make her throw up. We are well versed in doggy-barf-induction, as Stupid Scaredy Henry Wiener once swallowed some Advil that hubby accidentally left out. That one cost us about $200 because we weren't sure exactly when and how much he had swallowed, so we had all the kidney function tests done.

The vet agreed we should make her throw up. She said it was much better to make her throw it up now than to wait to see if it did damage to her intestines. So Lucky Lucy got two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide dumped down her throat.

After fifteen minutes, she still hadn't tossed her cookies, so she got four tablespoons more. After about five minutes, she puked up a GIANT pile of foam, but no bone. Then she puked up the bone.

Stupid Wiener...

The Wieners

Here's a little eye candy for y'all.

The one on the left is Henry, a beagle/dachshund mix. Full name--Henry Hanky Panky Snoopy Poopy Wiener. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is scared of everything. I tried to put out one of those bubbler water dishes, the ones that look like miniature human water coolers, so I wouldn't have to refill their dish everyday. But I ended up putting the regular dish back out because he nearly dehydrated himself because of his fear of the bubbles!

Lucy is the miniature dachshund on the right. Full name--Lucinda Stinker Doodle Noodle Wiener. She is nearly as hard-headed as I am and is a complete PIG!! Yesterday, I made sausage for breakfast. I didn't remember putting it away, but I couldn't find it. Lucy, whose legs are literally four inches long, had jumped up on the table and had snarfed down the rest of the sausage.

Ahh, I love my dysfunctional dogs...
