The ONLY blueberry this year, to be exact. In order to allow the bushes to put all their energy into the plant instead of the fruit, we picked off all the berries before they matured, save this singular beauty. I was so looking forward to tasting this little blue sphere of happiness, but unfortunately, I left it on the table inside while I was talking to the hubby on the deck for a second. Midget climbed up and ate it.
*Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah*

Ooooooh, I'm jealous. We left behind our berry patch when we moved. Haven't had a chance to replant anything at the new house, so we'll be Berry Patchless next year, too.
So, even your one berry was a far more bountiful harvest than we had at our house! :) Hope Midget enjoyed it!
did Midget enjoy the blueberry? ;)
i would've eaten it if she hadn't...just so you know.
LOL! That's too funny. I can't believe she ate it. ha! I wish we could grow things here. I'll just watch your garden grow.
Oh...I want blueberries. The pick your own place that we go to was selling them last year. A pair for $100 - and they were 4 years old. It would have been fabulous. But there is no where in our yard that gets enough sun to warrant it. I really want a garden. And a guru...
That has totally happened to us before too--with cherry tomatoes one year! Curses! I hope she enjoyed her berry. ;)
Dang. We did that with the raspberries one year. Just allowed one to mature so the plant could grow. No one got the raspberry because the cat got to it first.
Ohhh! I hope Midget liked it and savored it's juicy goodness!
Midget has learned the greatest rule of life at an early age: Ya snooze, ya lose, baby!
We have 2 copperheads guarding the blueberry bushes up by our house...makes picking berries the ultimate adventure.
You snooze you lose! BWAHAHAHA!
